About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead high-level project delivery and oversight of data-driven commercial diligence reports and assessments of technology portfolio companies
  • Work directly with high-tech and investment clients, management teams of acquisition targets, and portfolio companies
  • Analyze and communicate trends affecting markets relevant to clients’ investments
  • Build data models that quantify and project market opportunity across varied dimensions
  • Conduct executive interviews with portfolio managers and C-level executives
  • Develop tailored solutions founded on Gartner intellectual property
  • Collaborate closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results
  • Work daily with team members in a highly collaborative setting
  • Leverage Gartner insights and expertise across service lines
  • Collaborate with Gartner analysts and use third-party tools and datasets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Management consulting experience, including client leadership, engagement management, and project delivery
  • Familiarity with high-tech companies, start-ups, and/or firms that invest in technology companies
  • Passion for consumer and enterprise technology, including IT architecture, software markets, internet companies, data management, cloud, IoT, and AI technologies
  • Prior problem-solving experience such as solution/technical architect or analyst preferred
  • Experience building financial models and using data visualization software, including for investments, acquisitions, and/or carve-outs
  • Track record of leading people and building high-performing teams
  • Ability to inspire and motivate professionals from technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Commitment to team success and willingness to provide constructive/corrective action
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to creatively develop solutions and strategies for client problems
  • Ability to adapt Gartner frameworks and methodologies to address business challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable selling to, influencing, and building trust-based relationships with senior executives
  • Coachable and receptive to best practices and feedback
  • Consistently high achiever with perseverance, humility, and positive outlook
  • Track record in achieving/exceeding revenue targets preferred
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
