About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set, direct, and execute strategy for global clients or major regional accounts of substantial strategic and revenue-generating importance
  • Carry a sales quota while focusing on client value delivery, retention, and new business
  • Build trust-based, value-added relationships with senior technology leaders and their teams
  • Understand client business strategies, goals, drivers, and initiatives and translate them into value-delivery opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor across clients’ primary locations
  • Lead account and territory strategy to drive year-over-year growth and retention
  • Develop account solutions and license architectures, build account vision and strategy, and drive execution
  • Orchestrate account planning and execution with cross-business-unit internal partners
  • Coordinate prospecting strategies and drive prospecting execution
  • Increase customer engagement, retention, and account growth through account management
  • Own quota responsibility aligned to a specific multinational account
  • Build mastery of Gartner sales methodology and products and drive consistent execution of Gartner best practices
  • Forecast and maintain forecast accuracy monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Maintain and leverage competitive knowledge and focus

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years of sales experience
  • Track record of success in a quota-bearing consultative selling environment, preferably in high technology services or software sales
  • Experience owning and developing trust-based relationships with C-level and senior-level clients and prospects in large multinational companies
  • Proficiency in global account planning, territory management, and developing solution/license architectures
  • Demonstrated intellect, drive, influencing skills, executive presence, relationship building, sales acumen, collaboration, and compelling communications
  • Ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and structure innovative, integrated solutions for global companies
  • Comprehensive understanding of technology buying centers and procurement processes of large global accounts
  • Extensive relevant industry knowledge specific to vertical markets per territory
  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, CRM tools, Word, Excel, and similar business applications
  • Proficiency in navigating the full sales lifecycle
  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Master’s degree a plus
