Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create high-quality, clear, actionable must-have research content on analytics, AI, and data science
  • Cover strategy, business value, best practices, market trends, technologies, and vendors
  • Identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to advance strategy
  • Maintain broad market perspective while producing innovative, thought-leading, analytically deep, fact-based research
  • Provide clients and prospects with actionable analytics and AI advice through virtual or face-to-face interactions
  • Create and deliver presentations for Gartner events, conferences, webinars, and client briefings
  • Conduct timely research peer reviews and mentor and support team members
  • Predict market development, support client selection processes, and assist vendors with positioning
  • Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions
  • Collaborate with peers in the analytics and AI research community

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of relevant Analytics & AI experience
  • Previous leadership or senior technical role within technology or business
  • Applicable industry discipline experience and deep knowledge of CDAO, Head of Analytics and AI responsibilities or related business roles
  • Understanding of technology and business needs, including user strategies in specific areas and markets
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team
  • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Superior analytical skills, including applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and defending conclusions
  • Subject matter expertise and comfort presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area
  • Learning agility and ability to navigate highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable
