About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Professionally engage with internal and external clients to identify and document business objectives and requirements
  • Analyse and determine business requirements and create user stories leading to business solutions software, UI and API designs
  • Act as the business lead supporting one or more scrum teams
  • Produce business design documents and assist with HLEs and/or FPQs
  • Write BA deliverables including scope documentation, outcome-based epics, user stories, business requirements, use cases, UI designs, API designs, features and software requirements
  • Liaise with project and scrum teams to ensure requirements mapping, test coverage, implementation, documentation, release notes and training requirements are met
  • Provide client support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Write business design specifications covering desired development outcomes, SaaS, TaaS and NFR considerations
  • Help the Product Owner plan release plans meeting MVP and delivery timeframes
  • Redesign business processes using modern principles
  • Prepare and provide post-implementation training and end-user assistance
  • Conduct demonstrations of enhancements internally and for sponsoring clients
  • Participate in and run team/scrum meetings; cover for the scrum master when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in project methodologies, processes and supporting tools
  • Ensure compliance with GBST policies, standards and local statutory requirements
  • Maintain working relationships and communicate information and insights across the business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or at least 5 years of experience in the IT or Finance industry as a Business Analyst
  • Detailed knowledge in Superannuation or UK Pension and Wrap systems
  • Experience in participating in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely ideas, solutions and problems
  • Logical and analytical problem investigation and resolution skills
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to manage internal and external client expectations
  • Able to work in both Waterfall and Agile development environments
  • Desirable: Knowledge of SQL, XML
  • Desirable: UX design skills
  • Desirable: High level understanding of Composer data model
  • Desirable: Workflow experience
  • Desirable: Experience in compliance requirements of the relevant industry
  • Desirable: Participation in legislative work groups (e.g. ATO or HMRC)
  • Desirable: Testing skills
  • Desirable: Training skills
