About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute approved sales programs to achieve or exceed GC product budgets
  • Maintain current customers and develop new customers within the assigned ZIP-code territory
  • Increase sales and secure merchandising and promotional support from dealer partners
  • Execute sales programs under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager
  • Develop district quarterly activity plans and align weekly activities with corporate expectations
  • Sell GC products to major accounts while maintaining existing accounts and developing new business
  • Understand customer policies and practices relating to dental-product purchasing and promotion
  • Monitor competitor products and activities to protect and advance GC’s market position
  • Maintain and update CRM, Group Practice, School, Government, and KOL databases and schedules
  • Analyze sales by ZIP/postal code using monthly Business Objects reports to identify opportunities and improvements
  • Achieve company-defined sales objectives and expectations
  • Assist dealers with advertising and merchandising programs and follow up on their success
  • Ensure dealers understand GC programs and promotional agreements
  • Train dealer-partner sales personnel on the technical and commercial aspects of GC products
  • Maintain customer-related databases and complete administrative reports, programs, and requests on time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1–3 years of sales experience
  • Driver’s license required
  • Must reside in the Northern Minnesota and South Dakota territory
  • Willingness and ability to travel; approximately 30% overnight travel
  • Large geographical sales territories may require overnight stays
  • Ability to spend time inside dental office and dental laboratory locations, as well as dealer partner offices
  • Customer service skills to listen to customer concerns and address their needs
  • Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people, build relationships, and network
  • Confidence and self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making sales
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook email
