About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system
- Label and package medications for distribution
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide support with professionalism and care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Support the pharmacist in administrative tasks and daily operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must hold a certification or diploma in Pharmacy Technician studies (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an asset
- Five CSEC passes at General Level inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (including weekends and holidays)
