About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run infrastructure deployment and change projects from intake through handover, operations, and formal closure
- Set up projects in Jira, break them into tasks, and build dependency-aware schedules
- Identify risks and dependencies at kick-off and review plans with the manager on larger or unfamiliar projects
- Track linked tasks across architecture, procurement, installation, repair, and replacement Jira projects
- Make day-to-day project decisions within the agreed plan and escalate budget, priority, or departmental impacts
- Prepare initiation-stage cost estimates using NRC/MRC and component breakdowns
- Move projects through approval chains and reconcile planned versus actual budgets at closure
- Brief infrastructure architects and participate in discussions on bills of materials, rack layouts, power, and network design
- Brief procurement and logistics teams and track purchasing, shipping, customs, warehousing, delivery ETAs, and purchase orders
- Coordinate data-centre installation windows, timelines, execution quality, and acceptance discrepancies
- Coordinate handover to Server Operations and Network Operations, including documentation, configurations, monitoring onboarding, and acceptance testing
- Formally close projects, obtain sign-off, and capture lessons learned
- Communicate risks, issues, scope changes, timeline impacts, and budget impacts to stakeholders
- Work within the team's Kanban system and monitor Lead Time, Throughput, WIP, ageing tickets, and Jira status hygiene
- Follow team processes, readiness checklists, and documentation standards and provide process feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years in project management in infrastructure, data centres, telecom, or IT operations
- Comfortable running a standard project without step-by-step support
- Solid understanding of server and network hardware and data centre operations, including racks, PDUs, power and cooling, basic network topology, switches, cross-connects, and IP addressing
- Confident use of Jira or an equivalent tracker, including structuring projects, linking tasks across projects, and maintaining accurate statuses and fields
- Reliability and ownership of projects, tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder updates
- Ability to work with incomplete information and handle more than one project at a time
- English at B2 or above, sufficient for correspondence and calls with international partners and vendors
- Ability to write documentation in English
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with flow-based management (Kanban) and Lead Time, Throughput, and WIP metrics
- Experience in multi-vendor or multi-partner projects
- Experience with infrastructure budget estimation, including NRC/MRC, colocation, and leased lines
- Project management certification such as PMP or Kanban Management Professional
- Experience working in a distributed international team
