About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate and support student progression
- Provide on-site success coaching and coordinate appropriate student services
- Manage the student registration process for each semester (3 per year)
- Provide proactive and developmental coaching/advising for all active students
- Guide students whose grades, attendance, and/or personal barriers put them academically at risk
- Communicate concerns about student progress to students, faculty members, and administration
- Engage students through one-on-one meetings, phone calls, face-to-face video chat, and success seminars
- Coordinate timely registration of selected courses
- Liaise for students regarding academic appeals, readmission requests, grievances, and other matters affecting program progress
- Document student communications and maintain required student population reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Positive attitude, high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports
- Confidence, resilience, strong organizational skills, exceptional persistence, and a high level of commitment
- Ability to guide and motivate others
- Experience coaching students to ensure retention and persistence
- Master's degree preferred
- Ability to travel between Riverdale and Yonkers campuses
