About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs
  • Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections as assigned
  • Assist experienced technicians with basic and complex repairs and resolutions
  • Communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues
  • Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and complete required documentation
  • Maintain daily customer communications to ensure resolution and follow-up
  • Implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals and objectives
  • Provide efficient service delivery to accounts within the assigned area
  • Share on-call responsibility when trained
  • Document repair actions and submit reports and summaries according to schedule
  • Care for spares, tools, and test equipment and ensure calibration
  • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge through formal instruction
  • Use manuals, technical support, FaceTime, and online resources to answer questions during planned maintenance
  • Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other regulatory requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Work onsite at customer locations in Pennsylvania
  • Willingness to work in the Philadelphia, PA area
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • No employment visa sponsorship is available now or in the future
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose, repair, and perform planned maintenance on basic biomedical equipment
  • Ability to follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to share on-call responsibility when trained
  • Ability to maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures for medical equipment
  • Ability to use manuals, technical support, FaceTime, and online resources
  • Ability to meet Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety requirements
