About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical equipment within hospitals or healthcare systems
  • Ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients
  • Maintain customer relationships and provide timely communication, resolution, and follow-up
  • Follow company policies, procedures, hospital protocols, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
  • Document all work performed, including parts ordered
  • Work in the Salt Lake City, Utah service region on a 2nd shift schedule, typically 12 noon to 9 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Participate in after-hours and/or rotating on-call coverage, including weekends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
  • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required
