About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs, and/or ISIs
- Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installation
- Work with experienced field engineers on troubleshooting and service repairs for designated equipment
- Communicate and partner effectively with teammates and colleagues
- Communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
- Recommend value-added services to help customers operate more efficiently
- Maintain customer service logs and internal service records
- Order repair parts and manage cycle times
- Use the GEHC escalation process and work with regional and national support on corrective action plans
- Serve as a member of the account community for key accounts
- Engage commercial counterparts, identify sales leads, participate in sales opportunities, and assist with revenue programs
- Build customer relationships and become a perceived business partner
- Monitor competitor information and market trends
- Answer service calls independently within one year of employment
- Work five 8-hour shifts in the Philadelphia Metro and Southern New Jersey service region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment
- Experience with Electrical Systems and/or AC/DC Currents
- Experience with Web applications and Microsoft suite of products
- Valid Driver's License required and must be maintained
- Willingness to be available after hours or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, as necessary
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
- Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
- Required vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Experience servicing medical equipment, preferably vascular, is desired
