About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on assigned equipment
  • Perform installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Lead, instruct, and assist less experienced Field Engineers; provide coaching and feedback
  • Lead customer communications and serve as escalation point for customer-related concerns, including installations
  • Own customer issues from dispatch or identification through resolution
  • Communicate HQ and Zone or Area-level initiatives
  • Co-lead regular team or modality meetings as required
  • Partner with customers and recommend value-added services
  • Maintain customer service logs and internal service records; order repair parts and manage cycle times
  • Use the GEHC escalation process and collaborate with regional and national support to implement corrective action plans
  • Collaborate with teammates and colleagues
  • Participate in account communities for key accounts, identify sales leads, support sales opportunities, and promote revenue programs
  • Build customer relationships and focus on customer satisfaction
  • Monitor competitor information and market trends
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and support assigned account communities
  • Collaborate with Commercial Sales teams and region/zone leadership to support business growth
  • Assist the Area Service Manager or Director of Service with growth and deployment strategies
  • Provide application training to clinical or scientific staff on designated equipment, as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment
  • Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
  • Experience with web applications and Microsoft suite of products
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods
  • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not provided
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Ability to work in the Orange County, California region
