About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform complex installations, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on GE Precision Healthcare MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues using schematics, service manuals, diagnostic tools, and remote support systems
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to clinical staff and customers
  • Manage a designated service territory, prioritize service calls, schedule appointments, and complete service documentation
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools
  • Adhere to GE Precision Healthcare quality standards, FDA and ISO requirements, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with sales, applications, and engineering teams on customer issues and product improvement initiatives
  • Participate in technical training and development programs
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through professional service and timely resolution of requests
  • Complete service reports, timecards, expense reports, and customer feedback documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in field service engineering, preferably with healthcare imaging or diagnostic equipment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of digital imaging technologies and networking principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using service tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned service territory, including overnight stays as needed
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 lbs and work in various clinical environments
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory compliance standards is a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
