About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the USCAN always-on email portfolio end to end
  • Build, maintain, monitor, and optimize recurring and trigger-based email programs, including recycled leads, abandoned cart, and welcome series
  • Build and deploy programs in Marketo, including programs, smart campaigns, triggers, smart lists, and static lists
  • Maintain campaign ID and child ID naming conventions for reporting and attribution
  • Advise sales and marketing stakeholders on cadence, audience definition, content sequencing, subject lines, and email strategy
  • Maintain and enforce email partnership guidelines and the pre-send checklist
  • Protect sender reputation and deliverability, escalating or pausing activation for compliance, consent, privacy, tracking, accessibility, unsubscribe, or spam-complaint concerns
  • Design and run A/B testing experiments with defined hypotheses, testing windows, and success criteria
  • Produce quarterly USCAN email performance reports by segment and sub-business code
  • Interpret performance results and identify content gaps, audience fatigue, and optimization opportunities
  • Deliver pre-show, in-show, and post-show email sequences for USCAN events and conferences
  • Deliver webinar confirmations, reminders, and thank-you emails
  • Maintain lead source, lead source type, campaign type, and Marketo channel taxonomy
  • Source and clean operational data feeds and exclude test and internal records before import
  • Route email assets through brand, accessibility, and compliance review
  • Manage intake and campaign status in Workfront
  • Maintain USCAN email best-practice guidance for subject lines, preheaders, copy, CTA discipline, visual hierarchy, responsive design, accessibility, and nurture versus drip campaigns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least six years of hands-on B2B email marketing and marketing automation experience
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying campaigns directly in Marketo; platform administration experience alone does not meet this requirement
  • Demonstrated experience owning always-on, trigger-based, or lifecycle email programs
  • Demonstrated ability to report email performance against benchmarks, translate results into recommendations, and connect recommendations to commercial outcomes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Marketo certification
  • Experience with Workfront or similar project management software
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability and sender reputation, including authentication, list hygiene, engagement-based sending, and complaint thresholds
  • Familiarity with email accessibility standards and mobile-first, responsive design
  • Experience with a template-based email build tool like Knak
  • Experience operating in a regulated or medically reviewed content environment, including MLR or Veeva-type approval workflows
  • Experience with Salesforce and lead source and campaign taxonomy governance across a Marketo–CRM integration
  • Experience partnering with sales development or inside sales teams on email sequences and recycled-lead programs
  • Comfort operating as the single named owner of a channel
  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or another regulated B2B industry
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
