About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide key local customer interface and day-to-day work direction for assigned personnel at specific accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction and Service Excellence according to contract requirements
- Use customer contract knowledge to ensure obligations are met
- Prioritize service, assign personnel, and follow up on commitments
- Assist the Director of Service or Manager of Clinical Engineering with appraisals, status changes, promotions, disciplinary actions, and questions
- Share on-call or service call escalation
- Serve as Site Leader and manage customer relationships at assigned sites
- Ensure service quality through frequent customer contact and formal quality reviews
- File expense, time, and service reports promptly and accurately
- Track and analyze financial performance with the Director of Service or Manager of Clinical Engineering
- Maintain approved parts inventory and manage vendor service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies
- Maintain technical knowledge of current standards for safe and effective medical equipment use
- Instruct hospital personnel on equipment operation, diagnostics, effective use, and repair
- Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Communicate and partner effectively with teammates and colleagues
- Complete quality and compliance training, report customer quality concerns, document work orders and related activities, complete monthly site safety inspections, and ensure test equipment is tracked and calibrated on time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of experience servicing medical equipment
- Minimum of four years' experience as a Biomedical Technician
- One-year progressive team leadership experience effectively supervising and coaching technical personnel and resolving customer relations issues
- Qualified experience in a customer service environment with knowledge of customer account coordination
- Experience managing financial and administrative requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers
- Ability to analyze metrics and reports (SEDs)
- Proficiency in electronic documentation using technological tools such as iPad and iPhone
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel outside the assigned region
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must comply with GEHC quality, safety, regulatory, documentation, training, reporting, inspection, and calibration requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Employment visas will not be sponsored now or in the future
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
- Customer vaccination mandates may apply to certain employees
