About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Application Engineers across the SEMEA region.
- Plan and prioritize workloads to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Drive the team’s technical development and methodological consistency.
- Promote collaboration with the Sales, Product, and Project teams, as well as cross-P&L teams within the Mission Base Team Power Stability.
- Oversee the design and validation of technical proposals, including sizing, topology, component selection, schematics, loss calculations, and interpretation of grid study results.
- Coordinate technical teams in preparing extended proposals that include the Grid Solution scope.
- Ensure proposals comply with internal standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Verify the technical and commercial consistency of proposed solutions.
- Participate in internal technical reviews and discussions with key customers.
- Design and develop solutions combining multiple products, including SynCon, STATCOM, BESS, MVDC UPS, grid stabilization systems, and microgrids.
- Identify opportunities for technical differentiation in the SEMEA market.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap and product lessons learned.
- Collaborate with R&D teams and Product Managers on the development of new architectures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction regarding technical matters.
- Participate in technical discussions with strategic customers, integrators, and utilities.
- Support Sales teams in preparing proposals and conducting technical negotiations.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Specialization in power systems, rotating machines, or power electronics is preferred.
- At least 8–10 years of experience in electrical systems, frequency converters, or Grid / Power Stability applications.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and coordinating multiple international projects.
- Experience developing complex solutions integrating multiple subsystems, such as BESS, FACTS, and HVDC.
- Excellent knowledge of frequency converters, rotating machines, and electrical power systems.
- In-depth knowledge of power-grid architectures and grid-stability solutions, including STATCOM, SVC, and BESS.
- Expertise in complete system design, including sizing, integration, and performance calculations.
- Good knowledge of international standards, including IEC, IEEE, and Grid Codes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Results-oriented, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to unite multicultural teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Innovative mindset and strategic vision of the utilities market.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- French or another language spoken in the SEMEA region is an advantage.
