About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the commissioning of high-voltage systems
  • Support technical testing and validation of critical substation equipment
  • Execute daily site activities alongside experienced commissioning teams
  • Maintain project schedules
  • Bridge design specifications and operational requirements
  • Promote site safety best practices and ensure secure work environments
  • Create risk assessments, progress reports, and technical queries
  • Communicate technical deviations with project leadership
  • Troubleshoot issues collaboratively
  • Perform hands-on testing and validation of substation equipment
  • Manage daily commissioning responsibilities in line with project goals and budgets
  • Deliver commissioning tasks on time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments
  • Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Capability to perform testing and commissioning activities within high-voltage environments using industry-standard tools
  • Understanding of power system equipment and validation of functionality against design specifications
  • Expertise in working safely in construction environments
  • Ability to work at height when required
  • Keen interest in mastering modern grid software and expanding technical knowledge of power systems
  • Formal education or certification in Electrical Engineering is nice to have, but not required
