About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support contractual management of hydro projects from a back-office contract management perspective
  • Protect GE Vernova’s contractual and commercial position through contract administration, notices, change management, and risk tracking
  • Manage contractual aspects from bid or contract handover through execution, close-out, and warranty
  • Interpret contractual rights, obligations, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables, milestones, remedies, and commercial positions
  • Draft, review, and tailor commercial and contractual communications
  • Participate in negotiation and finalization of amendments, change orders, and other commercial instruments
  • Act as the contractual resource for project management, site, technical, controls, sourcing, quality, and other functions
  • Prepare and manage notices, reservations of rights, change requests, amendments, claims support documentation, and contractual submissions
  • Maintain contractual records, registers, logs, trackers, dashboards, and leadership updates
  • Identify contractual risks, opportunities, deviations, and watchpoints
  • Coordinate substantiation packages, event chronologies, and supporting records with project controls, planning, sourcing, finance, legal, and technical teams
  • Monitor events that may cause cost or schedule impacts
  • Support supplier and subcontractor contract administration and flow-down obligations
  • Advise project teams on contractual issues and escalate issues to leadership
  • Support compliance, milestone verification, payment documentation, contract close-out, final accounts, releases, turnover, and warranty issues
  • Report to the regional North America Contract Management Leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related technical or commercial field and/or minimum of 5–8 years of demonstrated experience in contract management within complex project environments
  • Demonstrated experience in post-award contract administration, contract interpretation, and management of contractual issues during project execution
  • Experience drafting and managing formal contractual correspondence, notices, amendments, and change-related documentation
  • Strong understanding of contractual risk allocation, commercial implications, and the relationship between project execution events and contract entitlement
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across functions in a matrixed and international organization
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Experience in hydroelectric, pumped storage, power generation, or complex infrastructure projects is desired
  • Experience with EPC, split-scope, consortium, supply-and-install, or similarly complex project delivery models is desired
  • Familiarity with change management, claims support, commercial risk registers, and contract management procedures is desired
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and support site execution from a back-office position
  • Experience working in a complex matrix organization is desired
