About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and facilitate execution of New Product Introduction engineering development programs through all phases of the Gas Power product life cycle
- Provide program management execution for assigned projects according to GE Gas Power Program Managers Standard Work procedure
- Create and maintain internal and external project schedules
- Validate resource assignments and manage spending according to plan
- Guide internal and external execution teams through the NPI Development Process
- Ensure adherence to engineering policies and procedures
- Coordinate engineering sub-function activities to deliver projects on time, complete, tested, and documented
- Manage program risks and mitigations
- Communicate program status and issues to engineering and commercial stakeholders
- Provide spending status and projections to Business Operations and Quality teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering or program/project management of engineered systems
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to interface with leadership
- Knowledge of GE Power project tracking tools, processes, and practices
- Prior experience in electronic hardware or software development
- Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and customer service processes
- Strong organizational and project execution skills
- Prior success working with or leading cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, and communication skills
- Ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility when necessary
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
