About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop technical proposal content for GE Vernova Combined Cycle power plant configuration
- Work with Commercial Operations, Product Engineering, and Product Management teams to win profitable Gas Power projects
- Coordinate timely evaluation of customer and EPC requests for proposal
- Select appropriate GE Vernova Gas Turbine scope-of-supply items
- Evaluate and develop comments and exceptions to RFPs
- Identify customer special requirements and develop competitive solutions with engineering and sourcing teams
- Develop Gas Turbine technology expertise
- Manage requirements and costing processes
- Document customer-specific product configurations and assist with proposal costing
- Communicate configuration and costing strategies
- Attend internal project meetings and customer meetings during negotiations
- Interpret customer requirements to determine proper application of GE equipment
- Ensure on-time completion of proposal activities and business initiatives
- Identify and communicate project schedule or requirement issues early enough for resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college; OR a high school diploma/GED with 9+ years of experience in Gas Turbine engineering
- 5 years of engineering/Technology, Customer Bid & Proposal expertise and related Gas Turbine and/or Gas Power equipment
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
