About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead technical scope execution, design, and production implementation for Cyber Security Systems control-system projects
  • Drive customer order fulfillment from commercial inquiry through customer acceptance and commercial operation
  • Support requisition, design, structuring, validation, and commissioning of control systems for turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant applications
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks across the Cyber Security Systems scope
  • Provide technical mentoring and direction to assigned functional controls engineers
  • Support project and functional engineers in achieving schedules, milestones, customer deliverables, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide technical input for customer proposals
  • Support and influence new-product and product-sustaining requirements definition
  • Drive architecture, top-level design, verification, validation, and commissioning requirements
  • Ensure system function, performance, interface, reliability, maintainability, and safety requirements through design reviews
  • Support development of test plans and customer system tests, site installation, startup, and commissioning
  • Coordinate customer requirements and tasks among assigned functional engineers
  • Support Project Engineers in customer discussions and reviews
  • Drive consistent controls solutions where appropriate
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers
  • Enforce controls HMI and networking design standards and practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or University
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation and/or process control design, HMI and industrial networking, and cyber security systems
  • Strong background in HMI and cyber security application software including Proficy iFix, Cimplicity, and Historian based products
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of time, as required
  • Proven strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Prior experience in engineering SecurityST, OTArmor, and/or OTVision cyber security solutions
  • GICSP & GSEC Certified
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server versions
  • Experience with cyber security defense and offense software platforms
  • Networking experience with CISCO Switches, Routers, Fortinet, TIV, Wireshark, WhatsUpGold, TCPDump, and Nmap
  • Expertise in MS Windows, MS Office, Remote Desktop, Virtual Machine, Control Server, Windows Licensing, Acronis Backup, Splunk Enterprise Security, Ivanti Security Patch Server, and/or similar software platforms
  • Experience with Cisco Shell, VBA, RedHat Linux, VMWare, GE ControlST, GE eTCSS, Cimplicity, Proficy Machine Edition, LabVIEW, MATLAB, MPLAB C, and Mark V/VI/Vie controllers
  • Expertise in legacy HMI systems and Mark V/Mark VI Controllers
  • Experience in GE power generation controls, electrical, cyber, mechanical, or accessory systems
  • Highly experienced implementing cyber security systems
  • Knowledge or understanding of Modbus, OPC, and TCP/IP
  • CompTIA Network+ certified
  • Combined Cycle Power Plant operations experience
  • Experience providing technical mentoring and oversight to less experienced engineers
  • Strong experience in power generation requisition, working with customers, project management, or EPCs
  • Proven oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated system-level thinking
  • Agile product development process experience
  • Experience in a matrix structure organization, working cross-functionally
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
