About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the complete lifecycle of electrical Root Cause Analysis projects, from initial identification and containment to final resolution
  • Drive investigations of critical and minor electrical issues
  • Balance deep-dive technical analysis with operational efficiency
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Fleet Performance, NPI Engineering, Field Services, Sourcing, and Quality teams
  • Foster collaborative relationships to develop solutions for fleet-wide challenges
  • Define resources and expertise for RCA task forces
  • Manage and escalate resource requirements
  • Monitor and report RCA performance indicators and KPIs
  • Analyze failure data with service teams
  • Lead initiatives to reduce failure rates in generators, transformers, power converters, and other major components
  • Lead commercial and technical discussions with vendors in partnership with Sourcing
  • Manage RCA-related budgets, cost-benefit analysis, and procurement workflows including PO generation and approval
  • Serve as technical authority for RCA communications
  • Deliver updates to internal leadership and external customers throughout project lifecycles

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 4 years experience in electrical engineering or related field
  • Experience supporting electrical systems, troubleshooting field issues, or working in a service engineering environment
  • Experience in wind, power generation, manufacturing, or other industrial environments is preferred
  • Able to travel to wind farms and climb turbines
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
  • Hands-on approach to solving field and product issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and technical issue resolution
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, components, and BOMs
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple service priorities
  • Experience supporting field and factory defect resolutions
  • Effective communication across technical and operational teams
