About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform requisition electrical design activities for turbogenerators while meeting schedules and cost objectives
  • Adapt standard electrical documentation to project-specific requirements
  • Perform electrical, electromagnetic, thermal, and ventilation design analyses
  • Support manufacturing, sourcing, erection, and commissioning activities
  • Interface with other design groups
  • Support cost-out, cycle reduction, and product quality enhancement projects
  • Respond to customer and site questions and assess client specifications
  • Participate in tests and measurements at test stations and power plants
  • Analyze measurement results
  • Supervise and improve electric-machine calculation tools for electrical, electromagnetic, thermal, and ventilation calculations
  • Provide technical support for offers, sales, and project management
  • Evaluate electrical data from erection, commissioning, and operation
  • Provide technical support and collaborate with design teams to ensure generator homogeneity
  • Develop technical and personal skills while maintaining budget, quality, and schedule

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering with emphasis in Electric Power and Rotating Machinery with 1 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree consideration with 2 years of experience
  • 2 years of experience designing rotating electrical machinery, preferably in large rotating machines
  • Proficiency with commercial electromagnetic packages
  • Oral and written communication skills in English; a second language preferred
  • Ability to work with a multi-location and multi-cultural team
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • No visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
