About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform requisition electrical design activities for turbogenerators, meeting schedules and cost objectives
- Adapt electrical standard documentation to project-specific requirements
- Perform electrical, electromagnetic, thermal, and ventilation design analysis
- Support manufacturing, sourcing, erection, and commissioning activities
- Interface with other design groups
- Support cost-out, cycle reduction, and product quality enhancement projects
- Respond to customer and site questions and assess client specifications
- Participate in tests and measurements at test stations and power plants
- Analyze measurement results
- Supervise and improve tools for calculating electrical machines
- Provide technical support for offers, sales, and project management
- Evaluate erection, commissioning, and operation electrical data
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure generator homogeneity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering with emphasis in Electric Power and Rotating Machinery with 1 year of experience
- Bachelor's degree consideration with 2 years of experience
- 2 years of experience in designing rotating electrical machinery is required, preferably in large rotating machines
- Proficiency with commercial electromagnetic packages
- Oral and written communication skills in English; a second language preferred
- Ability to work with a multi-location and multi-cultural team
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
