About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead strategic consulting engagements with utility customers
Translate business goals into architecture direction, transition roadmaps, and actionable transformation plans
Facilitate workshops and advisory sessions with executive and operational customer stakeholders
Produce customer-facing strategic roadmaps, BRDs, and architecture recommendations
Shape enterprise opportunities in collaboration with Sales, Presales, Product Management, Engineering, and Services teams
Support Enterprise deal negotiation and implementation planning
Provide data architecture expertise and scope technical requirements
Ensure alignment between customer expectations and platform capabilities
Engage cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data, and solution application SMEs
Build reusable consulting methods, assets, and playbooks
Provide customer-engagement feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams
Act as a technical bridge between customers and product and engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in architecture, consulting, solution strategy, or digital transformation roles
Proven ability to document requirements in BRDs, SADs, or SOWs
Proven experience designing distributed data architecture, including metadata, lineage, semantics, and domain federation
Understanding of API-first design and event-driven architectures
Ability to design logical and domain data models
Understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes
Familiarity with hybrid deployment patterns and infrastructure considerations
Ability to understand and write performant SQL queries, CTEs, and dynamic SQL
Broad enterprise architecture knowledge across Business, Data, Application, and Technology domains
Knowledge of TOGAF or equivalent frameworks
Strong familiarity with utility environments and platforms such as ADMS, AEMS/EMS, DERMS, or comparable systems
Clear, confident communication and presentation skills
Preferred: IT/OT integration or transformation experience
Preferred: strategic consulting or enterprise deal-shaping background
Preferred: DataOps, Git-based version control, CI/CD for data pipelines, and reproducible data workflows
Preferred: Python or similar scripting languages
Preferred: DataHub or similar metadata management platforms
Preferred: Apache Superset, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools
Preferred: Experience designing AI-ready data environments
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
