About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic enterprise architecture and digital transformation engagements with electric utility customers
- Define practical 3–5 year roadmaps across IT and OT environments
- Facilitate workshops and advisory sessions with senior stakeholders
- Translate business priorities and regulatory drivers into architecture plans and transition strategies
- Advise customers on ADMS, EMS, SCADA, GIS, DMS, OMS, cloud, data, integration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure architecture
- Support early project design phases by documenting existing ecosystems, integration requirements, and long-term architecture direction
- Act as the customer’s internal voice across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Presales, and specialist teams
- Build long-term relationships with utility customers
- Develop reusable consulting methods, templates, and playbooks
- Support customers primarily across the UK and Europe
Requirements
What you’ll need- Substantive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, strategic consulting, or digital transformation
- Experience ideally gained within or alongside utilities, energy, or mission-critical technology sectors
- Ability to work across IT and OT domains
- Familiarity with utility operational systems such as ADMS, EMS/AEMS, SCADA, GIS, DMS, OMS, or related grid technologies
- Ability to understand utility customers’ business objectives, regulatory environment, and operational constraints
- Understanding of cloud, integration, data, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and non-functional requirements
- Ability to facilitate senior stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, and advisory engagements
- Ability to produce customer-facing deliverables including roadmaps, transition plans, and strategic recommendations
- Strong communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Formal education and subsequent University Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant subject are nice to have, not required
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is beneficial
- Able to travel approximately 20–25% of the time across the UK and Europe
