  • Lead strategic analyses addressing corporate opportunities and risks
  • Develop enterprise growth initiatives and assess adjacent markets for potential entry
  • Perform strategic analyses and scenario planning to understand market trends and anticipate disruptions
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable strategic insights with the market analytics team
  • Prepare presentations and memos summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Facilitate senior executive-level discussions to drive buy-in and alignment
  • Analyze the current business portfolio and develop options for portfolio expansion and optimization
  • Define the M&A gameboard and investment thesis in line with enterprise strategy and growth priorities
  • Collaborate with Corporate Business Development on acquisitions and divestitures
  • Contribute to capital allocation decisions for organic investments and M&A
  • Assess market attractiveness, strategic fit, customer segmentation, competitive landscape, and value pools
  • Drive analytical rigor and velocity in growth strategy evaluation
  • Collaborate with technology strategy, segment strategy, R&D, and business units from ideation through commercialization
  • Compare build, buy, and partner options and identify actionable organic investment, acquisition, and partnership opportunities
  • Structure strategic problem-solving and execute project plans
  • Secure executive stakeholder buy-in and orchestrate contributions from junior team members and virtual teams
  • Contribute to talent development and knowledge transfer
  • Conduct quantitative analyses and develop actionable recommendations
  • Develop Senior Leadership and Board presentations and facilitate executive reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science, finance, economics, business, or related field
  • At least 7 years of post-MBA experience in Strategy Consulting at Associate Partner level or equivalent, or 12 years in Corporate Strategy roles, or a combination
  • Experience leading a corporate strategic planning process, growth strategy development, and M&A strategy formulation
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and influence decision making without a formal reporting line
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to C-suite executives on corporate strategy and M&A investment theses
  • Analytical, structured, rigorous, and data-driven approach
  • Ability to problem-solve complex business issues, develop frameworks and analytical approaches, perform research and analyses, apply business judgment and financial acumen, and synthesize conclusions into value-maximizing strategies
  • Track record of learning and using new AI-powered tools to accelerate and expand strategic analyses
  • Ability to lead virtual teams, manage projects, and deliver results on time in a matrixed environment
  • Strong customer orientation and collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable acting as an individual contributor and as leader of a large virtual team (Player/Coach)
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations concisely and rally stakeholders around a common vision
  • Executive presence and ability to build trust and influence senior leaders to drive change
  • Excellent technical skills, including modeling in Microsoft Excel and developing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Approximately 25% travel expected
  • Industry experience in Technology and Energy/Power industries is ideal
  • Commercial due diligence for investments is ideal
  • MBA degree is desired
  • Boston area preferred
