  • Lead strategic analyses to address enterprise opportunities and risks
  • Develop enterprise growth initiatives, including identifying, assessing, and prioritizing adjacent markets GE Vernova could enter
  • Perform strategic analyses and scenario planning to understand trends and anticipate market disruptions
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable strategic insights with the market analytics team
  • Prepare presentations and memos summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Facilitate senior executive-level discussions to drive buy-in and alignment
  • Analyze GE Vernova’s business portfolio and develop options for portfolio expansion and optimization
  • Define the M&A gameboard and investment thesis in line with enterprise strategy and growth priorities
  • Collaborate with Corporate Business Development on acquisition and divestiture strategic choices
  • Contribute to organic investment and M&A capital allocation decisions
  • Assess adjacent market attractiveness and strategic fit and formulate market entry recommendations
  • Drive analytical rigor and evaluation velocity in growth strategy development
  • Collaborate with technology strategy, segment strategy, R&D, and business units from ideation to commercialization
  • Compare build, buy, and partner options and identify actionable organic investment, acquisition, and partnership opportunities
  • Structure strategic problem-solving and execute project plans
  • Secure executive stakeholder buy-in and orchestrate contributions from junior and virtual teams
  • Contribute to talent development and knowledge transfer
  • Conduct quantitative analyses with actionable recommendations
  • Develop Senior Leadership and Board presentations and lead discussions at executive reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science, finance, economics, business or related field
  • At least 7 years of post-MBA experience in Strategy Consulting (Associate Partner level or equivalent), or 12 years in Corporate Strategy roles, or a combination
  • Experience leading a corporate strategic planning process, growth strategy development and M&A strategy formulation
  • Proven ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and influence decision making without formal reporting line
  • Experience in engagement and presentation to C-suite executives on corporate strategy and M&A investment theses
  • Analytical, structured and rigorous data-driven approach
  • Ability to problem-solve complex business issues, develop frameworks and analytical approaches, perform research and analyses, apply business judgment and financial acumen, and synthesize conclusions into strategy
  • Track record of learning and using new AI-powered tools to accelerate and expand strategic analyses
  • Proven ability to lead virtual teams, manage projects and deliver results on time in a matrixed environment
  • Strong customer orientation and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to act as an individual contributor and leader of a large virtual team (Player/Coach)
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations concisely and rally stakeholders around a common vision
  • Executive presence and ability to build trust and influence senior leaders to drive change
  • Excellent technical skills, including modeling in Microsoft Excel and developing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Industry experience in Technology and Energy/Power industries is desired
  • Commercial due diligence for investments is desired
  • MBA degree is desired
  • Approximately 25% travel
