About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead an organization focused on the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of wing-to-wing materials processes
- Lead a materials team covering materials planning, inventory, production control, and procurement requirements
- Integrate materials activities with manufacturing operations and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure standard materials processes and KPIs support delivery performance and low inventory cost
- Support SIOP by contributing to material procurement timing, order release timing, available capacity, and lead times
- Lead capacity requirements planning processes, including loading planning-tool data, analyzing data, and providing updates
- Synchronize master and production schedules using ERP and planning tools
- Ensure training and skills for planning tools and monitor appropriate tool usage
- Report and monitor materials KPIs, including inventory balance, inventory turns, on-time to promise, on-time to need, system health and usage, and master data adherence
- Establish metric hierarchies to ensure materials activities meet expectations
- Lead and monitor logistics activities, including incoming receipts, days to stock, cycle-count inventory accuracy, and shortages
- Communicate business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment
- Use experience and expertise to solve problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in supply chain management disciplines, including production and inventory control, variable cost productivity, fulfillment metrics, cost systems, and procedures
- ERP experience with SAP (PMx), Baan, or Oracle (Zeal) in a manufacturing environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
