About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, perform, and coordinate site activities
- Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation
- Respond to emergency repairs and service requests
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives
- Write technical reports and customer reports
- Order materials and secure quotations
- Prepare job status reports, timesheets, and expense sheets
- Sign off on implemented changes
- Drive customer satisfaction through quality commitment
- Maintain safety standards aligned with GE requirements
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment
- Coach, mentor, and train team members
- Ensure required parts are shipped to the site
- Perform installation walk-downs to monitor customer contractors
- Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site level
- Travel extensively to projects and field assignments
- Perform other duties supporting FieldCore’s vision and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role
- 7+ years of experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position
- Successful completion of required level III training programs
- Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams
- Dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment knowledge
- English proficiency required
- Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment
- Extensive Field Engineering Services experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong oral and written interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customer
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
- Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments required
