About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with site leadership to execute daily contractual obligations and support all facets of site operations with minimal supervision
  • Perform routine maintenance, component replacement, and system repairs to resolve malfunctions
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in variable pitch and variable speed turbines
  • Conduct diagnostic electrical analysis to optimize turbine performance
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities using digital reporting procedures
  • Serve as the primary interface with the GE Remote Operations Center to coordinate troubleshooting and system updates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Wind Technician
  • Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Proven experience using basic power hydraulic tools
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity for field teams
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, technical manuals, and industry regulations
  • Strong basic computer skills
  • Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment
  • Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet daily
  • Ability to handle repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Must meet manufacturer-specified weight limits not exceeding 300 lbs, including all required gear
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability and willingness to work in diverse industrial, manufacturing, and power facility environments
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
  • Shortlisted candidates are subject to heightened security checks as directed by clients
