About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, analyze, and evaluate assigned projects using sound engineering principles
  • Adhere to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical engineering work across gas power products
  • Contribute across the product lifecycle, from initial design to field issue resolution
  • Ensure technical excellence, safety, and performance of mechanical components
  • Apply advanced analysis, innovative design, and continuous improvement
  • Develop conceptual knowledge of the professional discipline
  • Resolve issues using established procedures and consult senior team members when needed
  • Collaborate with others to solve issues
  • For customer-facing work, develop customer relationships and serve as the interface between customers and GE
  • Exchange technical information, ask questions, and check for understanding

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college for roles in the USA, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in the relevant Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)
  • 0–1 years of previous intern/co-op experience
  • Unrestricted work authorization both now and in the future to work for GE Vernova
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
