About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design of generator windings for new and refurbishment hydro projects across different regions
Provide technical support to design engineers, supply chain, factories, and site installation teams on generator winding topics and insulation systems throughout the project lifecycle
Deliver generator winding design work packages using technical guidelines and reference projects
Lead cost reduction and improvement actions related to generator windings
Participate in validation of winding design tool updates
Participate in design review meetings with engineers, other functions, and consulting engineers
Support engineers with generator winding design, testing specifications, and customer discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hydro generator winding design and insulation systems
Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-locational environment
Ability to travel
Knowledge of CAD tools
Bilingual in French and English
Good analytical skills
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to business needs
Pro-activeness, sense of urgency, and autonomy
Established communication and leadership skills
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
