About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and own detailed technical standards to drive process synergy (“1 Process = 1 Part”)
Improve machine availability to 95% for targeted asset groups
Align machines with process requirements and achieve less than 20% uncertainty in process yield
Lead a 10% reduction in MRO and maintenance for key global supply chain factories
Introduce and industrialize new technology for Vernova’s Next Generation Supply Chain
Serve as a focal point for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic P&E investments
Recommend lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plans, and qualifications for initial production sets
Drive cost reduction through standardization of equipment and processes
Establish process standards and ensure adherence
Coach and influence a dotted-line organization of factory technical leads across the supply chain
Leverage analytical skills and lean methodology to drive SQDC in line with business and functional objectives
Co-lead manufacturing systems supporting Next Generation Supply Chain migration globally across the Gas Turbine Value Stream
Engage Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to measure machine capability, analyze process requirements, and improve process yield
Deploy lean principles including Transformation Planning, 3P, Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, and Poka Yoke
Collaborate with Operations, Sourcing, Finance, manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams
Build a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), including Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Fast Hole Drilling (FHD), and Shaped Tube Electrode Machining (STEM)
Experience with CNC programming, developing production processes, technology standards, and equipment selection
Influential leadership experience with professional and production employees
Fluency in English
Functional expertise in Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Fast Hole Drilling (FHD), and Shaped Tube Electrode Machining (STEM)
Experience in tooling, part fixturing, and CNC machine design
Experience managing a cost center or P&L and understanding operational metrics
Ability to coach and influence others and lead small teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Deep manufacturing technical expertise
Comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
Legally authorized to work in the United States
