About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise subcontractor installation of HVDC Valves, Valve Cooling Systems, and HVDC Primary Equipment within large-scale HVDC projects
- Ensure installation activities comply with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Implement quality control measures for installed HVDC Valves and HVDC Primary Equipment
- Conduct inspections based on ITPs
- Prepare and review installation documentation, test reports, and as-built drawings
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and stored
- Coordinate installation activities with Site Management, internal teams, external stakeholders, and installation subcontractors
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the installation subcontractor
- Coordinate with internal Valve manufacturing to ensure required documentation is available at site
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical installation issues
- Exercise functional leadership as an individual contributor without direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical education, preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in electrical- or mechanical installation works in large scale projects
- At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field
- Experience from Supervision or Site Management in substation, FACTS or HVDC Projects preferred
- Strong health and safety mindset aligned with international standards, with the ability to identify and stop unsafe work
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to provide clear verbal and written reporting
- English required
- Proactive mindset with the ability to recommend and approve corrective actions
- Willingness and ability to work in a construction-site-based role
