About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead risk management activities for Gas Power Engineering tools and act as the senior executive contact for IP and security coverage
  • Own and refine AI Security, IP, and Risk procedures and policies for engineering tools
  • Establish risk quantification methods for tool development intake processes
  • Execute complex projects across teams and businesses
  • Identify security gaps and impacts with tool owners, propose actions, and support adoption of cyber controls
  • Lead the AI team in developing and implementing secure application solutions
  • Prepare executive-ready IP, Security, and Risk strategy updates
  • Collaborate with the IP Council, compliance and regulatory SMEs, Digital Technology, GEV Foundry, and business peers
  • Develop engineering solutions for risk management and protection against AI-driven threats
  • Facilitate and lead lean events, Kaizen workshops, and continuous improvement activities
  • Analyze data, observe processes, research industry knowledge, and support problem solving for AI-based tool risks
  • Develop and maintain application security metrics, audits, and Engineering Level KPIs
  • Train, coach, and mentor STAI and other business teams on security requirements
  • Take on assignments beyond the position scope as requested or required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 8 years of combined experience in Engineering/Technology & Engineering Software Tools, preferably in a Technical Leader or equivalent Senior Engineering role with risk management coverage
  • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Familiarity with current-state Artificial Intelligence technology, including Generative AI, Quantitative Machine Learning, and ComputerVision
  • Expertise in Intellectual Property Protection, Privacy, and Export Control Regulation policies
  • Leadership experience in a matrix-based, global engineering team
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity laws, regulations, security compliance frameworks, and methods of handling enterprise data escapes
  • Familiarity with Engineering-focused Enterprise, Design, and Manufacturing Tools
  • Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
