About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop Natural Gas and Hydrogen Fuel equipment for heavy-duty gas turbines in the 50–500 MW range
Develop new and innovative designs through the NPI process
Customize and optimize existing designs for new orders
Provide technical support for testing, manufacturing, commissioning, and operation
Engage in Hydrogen Fuel and Decarbonization design projects
Work with a global engineering team on clean-energy technology
Optimize system interfaces for performance, cost, and reliability
Customize equipment to meet contractual requirements and location-specific codes and standards
Conduct root cause analysis and execute corrective actions for reliability, quality, and performance issues
Collaborate with customer service engineering, field personnel, customers, internal engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, and external suppliers
Perform mechanical, vibration, and flow analysis
Lead process improvement projects using LEAN tools and practices
Provide leadership in customer-focused quality, variable cost productivity, ITO bid development, module design integration, or other stakeholder-aligned roles
Mentor less experienced engineers and Edison program members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field from an accredited university
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience
Alternatively, 7 years of experience plus successful graduation from the Edison program or an advanced degree
Fundamental understanding of stress and flow analysis
Experience with simulation and stress analysis tools such as Floinhance, Flowmaster, and Autopipe
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
System-level thinking and system integration
Customer satisfaction mindset
Ability to identify solutions to problems and drive them to prompt resolution
Proven track record of working horizontally across the value stream
Ability to build relationships and trust with key partners
