About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct technical support to global power plants equipped with GE Vernova equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve power plant accessory system issues
  • Own engineering response technical inquiries and resolve them with urgency and limited direction
  • Develop technical expertise across accessory systems and plant equipment
  • Lead or support complex root cause analysis investigations
  • Drive root cause and corrective action while communicating with field teams, GE Vernova leadership, and end customers
  • Identify trending issues and provide fleet-protection countermeasures
  • Deliver technical guidance through user conferences, webinars, and technical documents
  • Communicate technical details and business risks to internal stakeholders
  • Assist and mentor team members in achieving personal development goals
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Chief Engineering Office, Product Safety Engineering, Product Management, Regional Customer Engineering Centers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Vendors, and Customers
  • Model the GE Vernova Way

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • In the US: a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the power industry
  • In Mexico: significant, direct experience in the power industry
  • Comfort tackling unfamiliar technical problems
  • Willingness to collaborate with engineers using problem-solving methods under pressure
  • Strong communication skills across all levels, including field engineers, site engineers, plant managers, and GE Vernova leadership
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities across multiple projects
  • Humble, open, collaborative, and continuously learning approach
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites when necessary
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
