Lead Engineer – Operations & Maintenance Manuals

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure all “Released” projects are captured for OMM delivery tracking
- Visit Gemba with OMM contractor teams and collect KPI/metric data and problem-solving inputs
- Determine requirements for OMM internal standard work and cross-functional QMS work instructions; plan revisions and new releases
- Create and revise process documents, maps, and work instructions independently or with contractors and the OMM workstream leader
- Develop KPIs, metrics, leading/lagging indicators, and finalize a bowler for the assigned sub-business line
- Establish Daily/Weekly management and Monthly Operating Review cadences with relevant stakeholders
- Identify and prioritize problems through Gemba walks, Daily Management, and MORs
- Lead problem-solving with relevant stakeholders using Lean tools
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation for waste reduction/elimination
- Develop ideas for current OMM tool challenges and future tool landscapes; contribute to implementation
- Apply lessons learned to continuously improve OMM standard work documents
- Collaborate with relevant functional teams on OMM topics
- Ensure on-time delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals for customer projects
- Implement OMM strategy in consultation with the OMM workstream leader and CMPD leadership
- Contribute to OMM digitization, including tools, templates, integrations, and data migration projects
- Organize development of digital visual dashboards supporting daily management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/sciences/Documentation/Digitization or equivalent with 8+ years of experience either in power generation industry or in documentation domain
- Prior experience in leading/establishing digital web-based tools for documentation or for other similar engineering usage
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational initiatives (e.g. Lean- waste elimination or digital tools or similar) in small area of expertise
- Fair knowledge of either GE Vernova power generation products (engineering domain) or documentation standards, rules, tools
- Ability to proceed with limited inputs/uncertainties; progress over perfection
- Team player; listening and influencing
- Prioritization to work on the items that have highest impact
- Challenges status quo in order to come up with better processes and systems/tools
- Focused on delivering on business imperatives with Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) in that order
- One team: contributes and coordinates across teams towards business objectives
- Communicates with transparency and urgency as the situation demands
- Presentation skills: ability to articulate problem/context through data
- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Vernova Policies and Procedures
- Contribute to fulfilling organizational KPIs and Initiatives
- Demonstrated ability in managing several projects across functions, ensuring on-time delivery, high quality, and on-budget
- Strong team player with the ability to effectively work under pressure
