About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive technical project activities and lead customer kick-off meetings
- Ensure successful project execution from design through commissioning
- Participate in project risk reviews
- Manage project engineering budgets in terms of allocated man-days
- Provide regular project progress updates
- Analyze customer specifications
- Write project technical documentation
- Validate technical solutions with customers
- Specify software and IEDs
- Manage technical execution planning
- Ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards
- Address technical deviations and manage fault reports
- Support site engineers remotely or on-site
- Lead Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
- Coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones
- Provide project-specific customer training
- Support tendering and commercial teams
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely design delivery
- Monitor and control project design budgets and implement the design change process
- Supervise and coordinate engineering activities performed in-house or by suppliers/subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with project technical specifications and defined scope
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Over 8 years of protection and electrical design engineering-related experience
- Strong knowledge of protection functions, electrical schemes, and cubicle design
- Proficiency in designing and configuring protection relays and network studies
- Proven knowledge of GE Substation Automation Solutions preferred
- Ability to travel globally
- In-depth knowledge of automation electrical schemes
- Detailed design knowledge of electrical protection relays (LV, MV & HV)
- Knowledge of network studies
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with a flexible approach to working hours
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to cooperate across departments
