About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead forecasting and supplier capacity planning activities for Combustion suppliers globally
- Maintain accurate supply visibility from the current year through a 3+ year horizon
- Develop, maintain, and improve supplier capacity models
- Work with suppliers to validate assumptions, monitor utilization, and identify actions supporting supply continuity and future demand
- Manage forecasting processes with Combustion Supply, Materials, and Sourcing teams
- Monitor supplier commitments against demand, gather feedback, track actions, and escalate risks
- Build relationships with suppliers, factory teams, Materials, Sourcing, Supply, Quality, and Engineering stakeholders
- Coordinate supplier reviews and visits
- Participate in Lean activities, Kaizens, and standard work development
- Solve capacity and forecasting issues and support execution of practical solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in manufacturing, materials, supply chain, purchasing, or planning/execution
- Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with significant relevant experience
- Experience with supplier forecasting, capacity planning, materials planning, and purchasing operations
- Ability to analyze demand, capacity, and supply data for operational decision-making and problem solving
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze problems, identify risks, and drive resolution
- Ability to document, plan, and execute processes and improvement actions effectively
- Ability to synthesize information for different stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively across sites, functions, and cultures
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Project management skills
- Lean mindset and interest in continuous improvement
- ERP experience with SAP (PMx) or Oracle (Zeal) in a manufacturing environment
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
