About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure design reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards, protection standards, and regulations for high-voltage substation control, protection, and low-voltage systems
- Collaborate with other engineers and support project documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead and support the team designing and integrating control systems, protection systems, electrical distribution, telecommunications, and monitoring for high-voltage substations
- Deliver single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, protection systems, electrical consumption and auxiliary-services designs, interlocking, communications, and networks
- Provide technical support to customers and project teams
- Initiate and support equipment procurement
- Ensure compliance with quality processes, procedures, and GE policies and procedures
- Plan and follow discipline design reviews and gate reviews
- Prepare and align the discipline provisional document list with the project schedule
- Follow monthly KPIs and design management tools and submit coherent data
- Implement the design change process
- Manage engineering subcontractors on specific work packages
- Oversee commissioning and testing of low-voltage systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college from Electrical Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in related activity/discipline in project & EPC type environment in HV substations
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in energy sector or oil and gas
- Strong verbal and written skills in English and Turkish
- Ability to live in Ankara
- Knowledge of Project organization and engineering processes related to scope of activity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in technical problem solving
