About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure design reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards, protection standards, and regulations for high-voltage substation control, protection, and low-voltage systems
  • Collaborate with other engineers and support project documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and support the team designing control systems, protection systems, electrical distribution, telecom, and monitoring for high-voltage substations
  • Deliver single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, protection systems, electrical consumption and auxiliary-services designs, interlocking, communication, and network designs
  • Provide technical support to customers and project teams
  • Initiate and support equipment procurement
  • Ensure compliance with quality processes, procedures, and GE policies and procedures
  • Formalize and follow discipline design reviews and gate reviews to ensure integration into the overall substation design
  • Manage engineering subcontractors on specific work packages
  • Oversee commissioning and testing of low-voltage systems
  • Act as technical guarantor for design performance within budget, deadlines, quality requirements, and customer expectations while promoting ease of installation, operation, and maintenance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college from Electrical Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in related activity/discipline in project & EPC type environment in HV substations
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in energy sector or oil and gas
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English and Turkish
  • Ability to live in Ankara
  • Knowledge of project organization and engineering processes related to scope of activity
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in technical problem solving
  • Discipline design reviews and gate reviews plan formalized and followed
  • ROR integrates design part and mitigation plan formalized and actions status identified
  • Discipline provisional document list prepared and aligned with project time schedule with achievable task duration
  • Full set KPIs followed on monthly basis
  • Design management tools strictly followed, and submission of coherent data
  • Design change process in place
  • Ability to manage engineering subcontractors on specific work packages
  • Ability to oversee commissioning and testing of low voltage systems
