About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide project management for GE Grid Services across North America
- Manage Grid Services projects to meet Safety, Quality, Delay, and Cost standards while maximizing customer satisfaction
- Provide field leaders with requirements to maintain field specialists' planning
- Support field specialists through a 24/7 technical support team
- Manage customer communications, meetings, reviews, FATs, and conference calls
- Improve project management processes, including project preparation and service contracts
- Ensure project profitability remains aligned with the tender-stage budget
- Manage new-installation and service-contract projects
- Review customer purchase orders against GE offers to identify risks and contractual deviations
- Conduct customer kick-off meetings to define roles, responsibilities, and contractual commitments
- Issue variation orders
- Ensure equipment and software availability
- Perform project-related administrative tasks
- Produce project post-mortems
- Follow project execution governance, including kick-off meetings, project reviews, and post-mortems, in collaboration with project managers
- Organize monthly reviews for major projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering or Operations degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- 10 years of experience in Project Management
- Knowledge of GE Grid products and Project Management Handbook (PMH)
- Experience in an innovative Service environment
- Coordination of different teams and cultures
- Previous work experience in a matrix organization desirable
- Strong knowledge of Project Management processes
- MS Suite, MS Project, and SAP knowledge
- Bilingual French and English
- Experience in Project Manager roles
- Leadership experience building, working with, and leading international operations teams in a global and matrix environment
- Strong process and operational experience
- Strong Industrial Service business and financial acumen
- Technical understanding of the Services business
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and oral
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
