About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary customer service contact for external customers purchasing wind farm components
  • Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders
  • Validate part numbers, quantities, pricing, delivery dates, shipping requirements, and customer-specific requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams to establish production and delivery commitments
  • Monitor orders through fulfillment and proactively communicate status updates, delays, changes, and risks
  • Coordinate shipment planning and delivery with Logistics, Warehousing, and transportation providers
  • Track order milestones and ensure customer commitments are met
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies, shortages, delivery issues, damaged shipments, and fulfillment concerns
  • Coordinate customer requests, changes, expedited orders, cancellations, and exceptions with Sales and Account Management
  • Maintain accurate customer and order information in ERP/CRM systems
  • Provide order acknowledgments, confirmations, shipment information, tracking details, and required documentation
  • Partner with Finance on invoicing, credits, payment issues, and order-to-cash matters
  • Coordinate resolution of quality or warranty-related customer issues with Quality and technical teams
  • Identify recurring fulfillment issues and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain organized records of customer communications, order changes, and fulfillment activities
  • Support reporting and analysis of order backlog, on-time delivery, open issues, and fulfillment metrics
  • Perform other customer order fulfillment and service duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in a customer service/parts fulfillment role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service, order management, customer fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% domestically
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with an ERP, CRM, or order management system
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting customers in manufacturing, industrial equipment, energy, renewable energy, or a similar industry
  • Experience with wind energy, wind turbine components, or other large industrial components
  • Experience managing B2B customer orders and purchase orders
  • Familiarity with logistics, transportation, inventory management, and production planning
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of order-to-cash processes and supply chain operations
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Compliance with international trade, export/import, and hazardous material shipping documentation standards
  • Adherence to EHS policies and procedures
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
