About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive thorough and timely PPAP execution in compliance with internal procedures and APQP requirements
- Own KPIs for assigned suppliers and their performance against quality expectations
- Conduct and lead supplier Root Cause Analysis
- Drive effective containment on quality issues and reduce quality risk
- Identify and implement process improvements through collaboration with suppliers and GE Vernova Technical team members
- Execute supplier PPAP/qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring
- Assist key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, and product management to align on quality objectives
- Execute audit plans for assigned components and suppliers
- Support and lead analysis and containment of supplier escaping defects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum experience of 12+ years in Manufacturing and Supplier Quality Engineering
- Technical experience with Electrical systems
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Problem Solving and structured RCA process execution experience
- Knowledge and application of APQP, PPAP, Measurement system analysis, PFMEA, Statistical process capability, RCA methods and Auditing
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex workload independently
- Experience with Lean techniques and tools
- Flexibility to work with cross functional teams in multiple time zones including US, Europe
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning and sourcing quality from the Wind or Automotive Sectors
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
