Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead data strategy by identifying, integrating, sorting, and placing data infrastructure for product capabilities and competitiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with information technology, sourcing, engineering, and other teams
  • Set strategies for tactical process changes in measurement methods and accuracy
  • Improve performance against safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives
  • Execute large-scale data analytics to solve operational challenges such as logistics network node optimization and consolidation
  • Develop strategic operational improvements including safety stock adjustments and lead-time reductions
  • Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores and improve predictive models
  • Analyze data and errors for digital maintenance, repair and outage applications and non-capital parts demand forecasting
  • Analyze historical and incoming data for trends and patterns
  • Interpret data into actionable signals for functions to create cost opportunities
  • Communicate analytic solutions clearly to stakeholders
  • Project manage and collaborate cross-functionally through implementation and project realization
  • Drive configurability across plant/product modules to optimize total solution value while meeting market and customer needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field
  • 4 years engineering experience or experience in technical/operations disciplines
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, and VBA
  • Experience with software such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Excel
  • Prior academic or work experience in systems engineering
  • Experience in systems engineering and systems thinking, including concept development, system/product design, requirements management, and risk management
  • Plant- and systems-level knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple significantly complex projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability
  • Understanding of technical nuances and complex interrelationships within a specified system
  • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
  • Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modeling experience
  • Technical competency across systems, manufacturing, and process
  • Strong analytic skills emphasizing critical and systems thinking, root cause analysis, and business case elaboration and analysis
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge from other disciplines
  • Experience provisioning optimized design/function solutions, requirements-level contracting, and supplier relationship management
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
