About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise GE Vernova blade repair contractor teams and perform repairs at laydown yards
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets during blade repair and inspection operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, protocols, and proper PPE use
  • Foster proactive safety actions and conduct on-site risk assessments
  • Respond to safety events in coordination with EHS, Operations, HR, and other GE Vernova functions
  • Supervise or execute repair procedures and verify checklists and procedural adherence
  • Adjust repair pacing based on job phases and weather conditions
  • Ensure availability of parts, tooling, materials, procedures, and PPE
  • Facilitate communication between site teams and GE Vernova functions
  • Manage daily operations and team performance against targets
  • Undertake repair tasks directly when teams cannot complete them
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager to support cohesive operations and project delivery
  • Serve as the primary contact for on-site repair teams and provide repair progress updates
  • Maintain transparent and timely project communications
  • Maintain training, certifications, and compliance with applicable standards
  • Keep accurate site activity and progress records
  • Use Microsoft Office and Smartsheet for reporting and coordination
  • Communicate daily with the GE Vernova Site and Project Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in blade repairs
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in blade repairs
  • Ability and willingness to travel between Pawnee and Garden City laydown yards
  • Current training and certifications equivalent to a regular technician
  • Compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Smartsheet
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team motivation skills
  • Proactive problem-solving capabilities
  • Adaptability to changing work environments and conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
