About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform plant thermal-hydraulic safety analysis using two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
  • Support reload and design applications for operating and new BWR plants, including ABWR and BWRX plants
  • Perform technical evaluations and analyses for Emergency Core Cooling System Loss of Coolant Accidents
  • Analyze containment response and impact, hydrodynamic and pressurization loads, and fuel performance
  • Prepare, document, and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Ensure work complies with regulatory rules, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards
  • Participate in company initiatives, process improvement, New Product Introduction, automation, and team process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-disciplinarily with mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, and affiliated organizations to identify customer solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university
  • 1+ year performing Thermal Hydraulic Analysis
  • Eligibility to work legally in the United States
  • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable
  • General knowledge in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
  • Experience in thermal-hydraulic modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems preferred
  • Experience in a BWR and/or PWR environment preferred
  • Experience with T/H system codes such as TRACG, TRACE, RELAP, or RETRAN preferred
  • Experience with programming (C#, FORTRAN, PYTHON) preferred
  • Prior Nuclear Engineering internship/co-op experience preferred
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
