About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own market assessment and sizing for North America, including TAM, SAM, and SOM analyses
- Identify market trends, adoption patterns, regulatory drivers, and competitive positioning
- Define and maintain market segmentation criteria, buyer personas, and target account lists
- Collaborate with Global Product Line by feeding North American market intelligence into global roadmap planning
- Support 3–5 year Long Term Strategy planning with regional market insights
- Create regional commercial strategy, positioning, value propositions, customer use cases, and go-to-market approaches
- Own the sales playbook translating strategy into execution
- Develop and articulate end-to-end solution architecture covering hardware, software, licensing, integration, deployment, and total cost of ownership
- Coordinate with Marketing to generate thought leadership and lead flow
- Speak at customer events and conduct product demonstrations
- Prospect for and qualify new customer opportunities, then hand off to Sales once a commercial approach is defined
- Support qualified opportunities through the sales cycle with market, competitive, and solution architecture context
- Attend key customer meetings without owning sales execution or account management
- Champion solutions internally across the Growth Team, Sales, and business lines
- Train Sales on positioning and solution architecture at launch and after material updates
- Capture and share market insights and customer learnings
- Drive commercial pipeline growth, customer pilots and proof-of-concept placements, profitable solution growth, and gross margin by segment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Power Engineering or another technical field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Utilities and/or Large Industrial customers on Automation & Control, Reliability, Telecom Infrastructure, or Power & Asset Management topics
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial role, such as sales, account management, business development, or strategy
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business planning, market strategy, or commercial analysis
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive market opportunities and growth initiatives end-to-end
- Ability to lead via influence across Marketing, Sales, Product, Commercial Operations, and Engineering
- Proactive self-starter with a doer mindset
- Ability to synthesize quantitative market data and qualitative customer input into market strategy
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Experience building market models, segmentation frameworks, and go-to-market strategies
- Exceptional prioritization and time management skills
- Comfort presenting to customer audiences and conducting product demonstrations without being a technical SME
- Ability to distill complex market dynamics and solution architecture into executive briefs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
